Finally finished and posted a new video on youtube. This one is surgery for a breast lift and breast augmentation, tummy tuck and removal of excess skin after massive weight loss. The surgery was done in our JCAHO-accredited in office surgery suite, like all our cosmetic plastic surgery.
The last video we posted (breast augmentation) has been viewed 20,000 times so far. I have no idea who is watching these but somebody is.
A writer for the NY Times called the other day to interview me on the increase in plastic surgery videos. I explained to her that the web is the #3 referral source for our patients...after previous patients and patient referrals. These videos are also very informative and help with patient education.
Check it out. Let me know what you think.

Ok, a new experience. A webcast blog. Courtesy of Sophisticated Living magazine, which is a very high-end magazine in Louisville (and Cincinnati apparently).
So I went down to the offices of SLM and in about 20 minutes we banged out 3 different webcasts, talking about advantages of our in-office surgery suite, liposuction vs lipo-dissolve, and mommy makeovers. John and Eric were excellent hosts and Rocko the pug was way glad to see me even though we'd never met.
Really it's just another way to try to drive people to our website. Customers (read patients) are very sophisticated, pun intended, today and know when they are being manipulated. Once again, a major focus of our service is educating the patient as to what to expect, what can and can't be done, recovery, realistic expectations, etc. This is true whether it's for breast augmentations, breast lifts, tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts, etc.
Another sorta gadget that didn't exist 10 or even 5 years ago, and if it did, no one used it. Cool stuff.
