Can't stand it. Never thought I'd see that terrible idea, the cosmetic surgery tax, come back to life. Of course politicians have to find ways to pay for our ever-exploding government.
Why a tax on breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tucks, mommy-makeovers, etc...yet not on haircuts, manicures, laser hair removal, yada, yada, yada.
Plus the revenue generated makes a tiny dent in these budget deficits. ARRGH.
Back to my happy place.

Tags: Kim Basinger, breast implants, plastic surgeon,
Did you see Kim Basinger in the new ad with Wayne? (or is it Garth?). She looks great. She is 55 going on 56...definitely a cougar. There is some photoshopping going on but not ridiculous amount. Whoever the plastic surgeon who did her work deserves a pat on the back. From years ago too. You can understand my feeling that breast implants are one of the best inventions ever. Ever.

The holiday season looks promising at Imaage. We've noticed an increase in business just over the past week or so.
Breast augmentation, breast implants, liposuction, tummy tucks, cosmetic surgery, facelifts, mommy-makeover...something is on everyone's wish list. Wonder who's been good or bad...or maybe that's a question for next year.

Tags: Carrie Prejean, sex scandal, breast augmentation,
Surfing the web and saw the Carrie Prejean sex-tape scandal. Love the hypocrisy and sanctimonious bs screaming across the satellites. The ability of marketing geniuses and web gurus to keep someone's name high in the Q rating always impresses me.
And her breast augmentation always gets mentioned. And her photos are always in a bikini...not that I noticed.

Tags: cosmetic surgery, breast augmentation, pregnant,
Saw a patient just now who told me she just had a baby girl 7 weeks ago. Scared me at first because I thought we had done her breast augmentation this summer but turns her cosmetic procedure was Summer, 08. She found out she was pregnant in Jan, 09. I've teased patients for years that you have to watchout with your new boobs...they can make you pregnant. And it happens. This lady was beaming but of course pretty surprised when she found out.

Reading (actually re-reading, but the last time was probably 30+yrs ago) The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Some interesting parallels between cosmetic surgery and architecture. Makes me appreciate the job the architects did on the Imaage building. Objectivism seems to be growing in popularity in these odd times.
There is a mix of art and science with breast augmentation, liposuction, facelifts, tummy tucks, etc...any cosmetic surgery. Just like in architecture. Don't know if Howard Roark has the personality to be a successful cosmetic surgeon, but he wouldn't care.
